Born on August 26, 1979, in Kaduna State, Nigeria, Tim Godfrey has risen to become one of Africa’s most influential gospel artists.
He is the founder of Tim Godfrey & Xtreme Crew (established in 2004) and later ROX Nation, a record label and talent hub dedicated to raising new gospel artists. His innovative approach to gospel music combines contemporary worship with urban beats, Afro-pop influences, and spirit-filled lyrics, making his songs resonate with both young and older audiences.
Tim Godfrey gained international recognition with the hit song “Nara” featuring American gospel icon Travis Greene, which became an anthem across churches worldwide. Other hit songs include Agidigba, Onaga (with JJ Hairston), Toya (with Israel Houghton), and Shine.
